Guillermo Salas Place will be a 70,090 square foot, five-story apartment building – built in two phases – in the Olde Kensington neighborhood of Philadelphia, PA. This affordable housing project is located on a highly visible site in a neighborhood that is quickly developing and displacing older residents who can no longer afford to live in the neighborhood. The design of Guillermo Salas Place boldly reflects the color and culture of its inhabitants with a colorful mural adorning the southeast and northwest facades. The building includes a Community Room on the southeast corner and the southern courtyard cradles a tot lot between the two wings of the building.
